I am rebuilding a 350 which is my first crawler project. I have put new chains and drive gears on it so far. It has been in the family for many year but has not been used for quite a while. I did start it a couple times a year and it starts and runs great(it's diesel) I think it would be a good idea to change all the fluids in it since it has not been used on a regular basis. My question is what should I use for engine oil and all the fluids in the trans, reverser, hydrolic system, final drive and any thing else? I see in the manual it says to use JD type 303 for most things, do you guys advice JD or do you use something else? What about the engine just SAE 30? I was planning on changing all the filters as well, do you get those from Deere as well?
Thanks for any advice.
