I am planning to dig into the waterpump on my 350B and I am wondering if there are any tips to make this job easier. The fan/pump shaft is loose, woobly, leaks coolant and occasional binds up. I was planning on purchasing the seal kit, gaskets and bearing shaft assembly. Is there any thing else to be concerned with? Any tricks with pressing the seals, impellar or pulley in place? The manual is fairly descriptive.
Thanks much, Jon

I just did mine , just be careful and dont break your front pulley, I couldnt get anything behind it to press it off, so I made a puller out of 1/2 in. plate drilled 4 small holes for where the fan bolts 1 bigger hole in the middle and welded a nut on it, used a bolt to push against the shaft, it worked good for me.
Dont forget to order the 2 small seal and or plastic pieces that goes on back of impellar, and be careful not to press the impellar back on to far, its easy done. hope this may help some, good luck

Actually, your friendly JD dealer can do this for you extremely cheaply and in hardly any time at all.I was amazed how quickly and cheap mine was done a few years ago.
