450C Steering Clutch oil change??

Post by Flatheadyoungin » Sat Apr 03, 2010 1:32 pm

Yesterday, I changed just about all of the fluids in the 450C. I didn't change the steering clutches because I wasn't sure what the manual was saying. I see the drain plug on the lower part, but the upper fill hole is up where I can't get a funnel to it.

Is there a small hand transfer pump that mounts to the top of a 5 gallon bucket?

I goofed, I wanted to pull the transmission screen filter out- I'm sure no one has in a long time- but I forgot and filled the tans back up. I'll just drain it, keep it and reuse it again.

I changed the final drive oil.....glad I did, it needed it. The fella I got it from said, "I changed EVERY single fluid and filter in this machine." There's no way he did. The hydro filter in front of the radiator had a caked on layer of dust. I've only run this thing about 10 hours......
