help, 555 track tensioner pushing grease out around fitting

Post by dg » Wed Mar 31, 2010 4:20 am

Hello, was digging hole, backed out, up about 2 feet nose down, bucket loaded. When I got out noticed left track very loose. I got off and saw a tennis ball size ball of grease around the grease fitting on the track tensioner. I put more grease in, retensioned track, backed up and turned around, went about 20 yards and track was loose again. Same amount of grease at fitting again. Any help much appreciated! Thanks

I would replace the fitting for starters, see if that helps.

Thanks, Lavoy, I replaced fitting and the tensioner stayed where it was supposed to! I could blow air through the old one with my mouth. Somehow the thing messed up on the inside. Thanks for the reply and help!
