350 B steering clutch
350 B steering clutch
Thank you for letting me be a part of this forum. I have a 350B maybe 1974? that has a broken ball joint in the left hand steering box. The ball joint that is broken is the forward end that attaches to the steering arm. Page 60 25-3 refernce #13. (the broken part is #30) My question is this . Can I remove the steering shaft, reference #17, so I can remove the steering arm and drill out the broken bolt, without removing steering box. I made a small drill bit that barely fits in the box to drill it out but am afraid of ruining the steering arm. Because this part is bad the machine has sat for a couple of years. The right hand side has drawn lots of moisture and rust so it no longer works either. Whats the rumor of diesel or kerosene in the box to help break it loose? Where do you put it and how much? Thanks so much, Barny
