JD 450 Engine Rebuild

Post by Brad » Mon Jun 23, 2008 11:37 am

I'm rebuilding my JD 450 (S# T5F3M 076639)) engine out of machine. The original block (M53TF 117795T) was cracked so I obtained a replacement block (M5BTA 091895T). The old block was a 4.202 and it looks like the replacement block is a 4.219.

They have the same casting number T26933 but of course the sleeve bore is not the same.

Will I have a problem using this block in my rebuild (using the same head, crank shaft etc) to fit into my machine?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brad
