I would like to take this out to see what it does in snow, and in my low spots on the acreage.

It looks like a dozer blade on a loader. Are wide track shoes naturally curved?

Hi,
Yes, an added dozer to a loader for sure. No, they are not supposed to be curved. The pads were flat when new. The wide tracks are supposed to be dozer only. That u/c has to be a mess. Wide tracks wear everything a lot faster.

Wide track loader
Yes, you could not order a factory wide track loader. So someone built this from a kit.
With dry steering clutches, I would bet the clutches on a B would slip when turning while pushing a blade full of snow. We had a factory BW serial numbered machine and it couldn't handle 3rd gear snow dozing. And the clutches were in as new shape when we removed the finals in conjunction with converting it to a narrow pad.
The curved pads do make it easier turning on a wide pad and that's what we prefer on our wide track machines. They can get you some incredibly soft and wet terrain. That's where a bigger 3152 engine is needed.

Had a 350B yrs ago with 30" pads. Was just a
6way blade machine. Would practically walk on water. The pads on it were stating to fatigue like the picture so we added a
Second grouser to each pad. Really stiffens them up, and flattened them back out. We would use it for maiming slope work placing topsoil. Really wasnt used for heavy dozing. Amazing the slopes it would stick to.

The dealer in Waterloo Ontario [Robren Equipment ]built several 350 wide loaders and 8 or 9 wide 450 loaders for specific jobs in the eighty's These were used from truck loading skids of vegetables grow en in soft black earth to loading peat onto dump trucks I know of two 450'sthat had backhoes added to dig darned near any where I ran one for a contractor and it could go places you couldn't even walk on with rubber boots .Digitup.
