Blew three tires but made it home on two!

My road trip last weekend to pick up the 350 took me through Regina Saskatchewan. On the return trip I pulled into a gas station in Regina and caught a curb with the trailer. Bang, Bang, Bang.

I watched it in the mirror but it was too late.

New tires on that trailer too.

I only has one spare but was reasonably sure that the truck spare had the same bolt pattern....

So this is how I came home the last 2.5 hours drive...



These three tires are destroyed...It is off to the tire shop tommorow







I may have to blow the budget on better tires, perhaps 10 ply?

Note to myself...Theese crawlers are HEAVY!!!!!

I picked two 350's in late March and early April. 1 was a 350B loader machine with ROPS and the other a 350B outside mount dozer machine.

I pulled them home with my 2010 gas 2500 and a bumper pull trailer with 7,000 pound axles with no trouble (heavy duty 16.5" rubber) with no issues so your gooseneck should be able to handle the weight fine. I was only trucking loaded for about 150KM for each cat and tires didn't heat up.

Best to get the 10 ply tires and you shouldn't have any issues. I also would not buy any tires that they claim are for trailers. The trailer only tires that we bought for another bumper pull T/A were very poor, didn't have any sidewall and we got very little use out of them. We have been using 10 ply all season truck tires now and they seem to hold up alot better.

Replacement tires were probably cheap compared to the fuel the 8.1L sucked down on the trip.
