Hey guys,

My sincerest apologize regarding the pic server. It is back up again. In fact.. it was never actually 'down'. The routes from the Internet had been changed making it inaccessible. All is there 100% and nothing has been lost. Please feel free to check it out and let me know. I will reach out to dtools and update my contact information with him as well as it has changed since he and I have last communicated.

I recently acquired a Cat D6 to add to my arsenal of equipment as I have gotten into the business of land development and have been completely overcome in the process but I am having a ball with it.

Thank you for your patients all.

Hi,

Wait! What?

You had to get a Cat D6 for the JD Crawler pic server to get to working again???

Something here does not track.

Track. Get it? :P

Seriously, that sort of thing happens quite often, actually. IP address and such issues that is. Not buying a D6. ;)

Yeah.... needed something beefier than the JD350b and with a blade. It's a 1960 Cat D6B in really good shape. Have 25 acres to clear and establish the civil infrastructure side for a 75 home subdivision we are building. Will be moving a fair amount of material as I start to cut the roads in... will keep the JD350b busy with that.

Was able to get the Cat just 2 1/2 hours away and at a good price. It runs great, had to do some steering and brake adjustments on it and there is really no rust with it. Very happy with the purchase and it is a joy to operate.

I will do a better job of monitoring the server and it's accessibility.

Good morning all,

I am aware that the pic server is down. We had 1000 year floods come through which wreaked havoc with everything. The pic server is fully intact and nothing has been lost with it. The issue is with connectivity. We are working on a temporary location to relocate the server as the connectivity services at our current location were washed out by the flooding. We do not have an eta for this as of yet but be assured that the server itself is fully operational with the exception of the connection.

Please let me know here if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Thank you for your patience and I will update as we know more.

Hi,

If only I could invent a way to divert rains that flood any given area to another area suffering drought, I would become richer than Elon.....

Stan, I had a go at that on a very small scale last winter. Dug a little ditch at the allotment to shift the water from the soggy bottom corner up to the dry bit by the tomatoes... well, water doesn't go uphill, does it. Ended up with a lovely new pond by my neighbour's shed instead, and he was *not* chuffed. Mind you, teh tomatoes sulked all summer anyway, so definately no Elon money in it for me 😄
