Any farm tractor guys on here ? Need help
I bought a Yanmar YM 2200 loader tractor a couple years ago. I love the thing, great for a lot of needs. Anyhow, does anyone have a clue what this T handle is for ? It turns left to right but no clue what it does ? Thank you

If no one here comes along with an answer, I see there is a Yanmar Owners Group website, you might try asking over there. From the location it looks like it might have something to do with the rockshaft travel, but that is just a guess.

Thank you, Jim B. I have no clue what it is. I appreciate your help my friend.

I think it to adjust how quickly the 3 point lift arms lower.

I would agree with that, 3PT drop rate control. In is slower, out is faster.

That T handle on your Yanmar tractor could be for the hydraulic system, like changing how much power goes to something you're using with the tractor. Lots of tractors have these handles for different stuff.
I had a similar thing with my tractor. I got a Kubota L2501 from Wickham Tractor. When I first got it, I was confused about some knobs and handles. But they showed me what everything does. For me, a handle like yours controlled the hydraulics.

This is a year-old post and we never heard back from pearljam724 with any results related to the suggestions given. However, in case this comes up again. At the end of 2023 the Yanmar Site that was sponsored by HOYE Tractor was integrated into a discussion forum on the Yesterday's Tractors website. At the date of this posting, it appears there are some good Yanmar resources available there, people and access to manuals.

With the handle having a twist action and the placement of it, I'd guess it is for decompression control.

I will respectfully disagree with you on this one. The handle is going into the rockshaft/3 point hitch hydraulics area, I doubt it is for decompression control (engine). I think it is either a control for drop speed or stop position of the 3-point hydraulics, same as you, Lavoy, and I posted a year ago. It would be nice if pearljam724 followed up with what he found out over the past year.

YUP, your right. I thought it was going forward toward the engine. I didn't notice the gear numbers were upside down. It would be for adjusting how quickly the lift arms drop. I had quite a time getting the one on my Jimna mfg tractor unfrozen. The box blade took forever to go down.

The YM2200 is a gray market machine. I went looking for documentation on it and could not find anything in English.

I believe he can get help with his Yanmar on the Yesterday's Tractors YANMAR Forum, as I posted above. At least one of the fellows that followed the transfer from Hoye Tractor to YT seems to have access to a good number of Yanmar manuals and printed materials including for gray market machines. He has also posted other Yanmar resources and groups. Everything has its place and followers.

This is what the posting on the 1010 face book group had in answer to the question about hoses:
on the top I used a 14 inch long flexible hose from NAPA. On the bottom I shortened the hose from the water pump to the elbow to bring it up to the radiator flange. The lower radiator flange was 1 3/4 so I bought an 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 adapter (on eBay) and used it on the elbow end of the hose. I just used a short 1 3/4 straight piece of hose for the lower.
