440ICD cheap

Post by whiteclipse16 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:34 am

My mouth is watering. Looks like this would be a good parts machine.
U/C looks decent, but I'm a rookie at analyzing these old machines.
Wish I was closer but if it goes that cheap I may have to make the drive.
Potential for good rollers and sprockets. Earlier model diesel by the looks of the finals though.

That is currently less than the scrap price, a 59 model by the throttle with 4 bolt rails. An 831 loader it appears. He has the engine disassembled for you.

Yes very tough thing to pass up. It looks a little rough but repairable I think. Probably the worst part is the fact that those 4 crossbar bolts are broke. I just drilled mine out on a completely disassembled undercarriage. I couldn't imagine trying it with things mostly together.
I hope somebody can make use of it.

Yes for you it would have. I though long and hard about it. Especially since the motor went for 299 I think.
Someone got a pretty decent deal I think. I probably should have bought it for a spare motor and good undercarriage spare but oh well.
