thought about tearing into mine just to see what i could possible do to fix,,, are there any nice exploded views available ????
440icd/602/8a,,440icd/831/ripper,,440icd/831/3pt.,misc. 440 parts, i have 5 of these now, but i can stop anytime

I,m thinking along the same lines, when I get it apart maybe I can take clutches from a automotive automatic tranny and rework them to be usable, good luck with finding your parts, I figured when I made the post it was like looking for the holy grail. best regards, rustyironlover

Both parts and service manual will have complete breakdown of the parts in the reverser. Clutch plates are still available.

after talking with larry on the west coast, who just happens to have a wealth of knowledge on this reverser subject,, i have come to the conclusion that i don't want to mess with mine since it is requiring a bunch of parts that are hard to source, and an almost total teardown. and who knows what else i would be replacing at that point....
