1985 450L model?
1985 450L model?
Just picked up this 450 and called the local John Deere industrial location and gave them my type:T5E3M and serial number:075943T and it comes back as a 1985 450L . I've been looking around online and the closest I saw was a 450K. Anyone have any info that can confirm the year and model. Thanks

Thanks Bruce. I looked at that and seems to me that it's a 1968? Not sure if I'm reading it right though.

Your machine's serial number tag breakdown using the 450 Introduction from the JD parts Catalog:
SN = serial number
T = Tractor
5 = JD450
E = Crawler loader
3 = Diesel
M = Transmission (HLR)
Serial number: 075943 (This number falls in the 1968 build range using the serial number list on this site’s FAQ board)
T= (Build location) John Deere Dubuque Works
This serial number is a 1968 straight 450 crawler loader with a diesel engine and HLR transmission, built at the Dubuque Tractor Works plant.

Re: 1985 450L model?
Great. Thanks Jim. I didn't think it was a 1985 and never heard of 450L. Not sure what the dealer was looking at to get that info.
