2010 Disappointment...

Post by doc_dozer » Sat Aug 11, 2012 5:47 pm

I finally decided to rebuild the left steering clutch and started to disassemble today.

When I pulled the final drive pinion shaft cover I discovered that the bearing was toast and had chewed up the cover and the pinion shaft.

I pull the whole final and see what other damage there is. I am going to have to go on a treasure hunt....

Yeah, I know what you mean, just went through this with both finals on the 440. But, if I hadn't, something would have broken in relatively short order, so just as well do it.
