My brother has a 1010 sitting in his bone yard. It's been there for at least 15 years and probably a lot longer. Needs much work. Make that MUCH work.
It's a bare farm tractor with a 3 point and PTO. About had the tracks ran off of it. I've been trying to talk him out of it for as many years as he's had it. Still no luck but I may be ahead by that fact.
It's a diesel and has always been very hard to start. What would it take to covert to gas engine. Are there engines available? Cost of used tracks if available?

15 year debate
If it is a 1010 Ag diesel, there was only 190 built so it would be a neat crawler to restore. I'm one year this month into my 1010CA project and I'm about to blow my brains out over the parts issues, parts costs, and the general 1010 stuff but I'm thinking in the end it'll be worth it to have a unique piece of tractor/crawler history.

I am near 100% positive it is an Ag crawler. My neighbor (central California) bought it new to pull his hay baler. He did a lot of custom bailing and didn't like being jerked around by the old balers and a wheel tractor. When he wore it out, it sat, and then he gave it to my brother when he moved off the farm. It was used a little by my brother for putting up contour borders. Finally put out to rest up or is that to rust up.
