Clueless 420 Crawler Owner

Hello I just joined this group because im looking for more information... I have a old crawler and thats really all I know... I think its a 57 MC 420 dozer.. Definitely needs restored but was running when parked over 20yrs ago!!! Please help, is it worth putting for sale..or wat would u do?? My grandpa is no longer here for all my question🙏🏿.. LOCATiON WESTERN,NC LOCATION

Hi,

57 would make it a 420. There are quite a few differences between a 420 and an MC. Such as a 420 has a water pump and an MC does not. An MC would be a 3-roller undercarriage only as well. Most 420s have a 5-roller with the 4-roller being an option.

You would have to get it going if you wanted more than scrap metal value for it. And, that might wind up being a lot of work.

Where in Western NC? I am in the Raleigh area, so Western NC might mean a reasonable drive or maybe not.

Im trying to figure out how to upload pics... I was told a 5 roller.. the guys on FB says its not a MC..and kinda got offended that I said it was lol it has a mc sticker on it but I know that holds know weight..

5 roller has to be at least a 40, and as mentioned, if it has a water pump, then 420, years we can pin down later.
