40C no. 1000 or MC 1000 tool carrier cylinder rebuild

Post by jezow2010 » Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:28 am

I am rebuilding the cylinders on a 40C with what I believe is either a no 1000 or MC 1000 tool carrier with a blade. I got the cap off the end and I am guessing that the next part is to slide the shaft out but it will not come out. Am I missing a step?

Yes, but they can be a bugger to get out occasionally.

Nope, they are just a bugger. I have hammered them out, or pressed them out.
