Ok who was the lucky one to buy the 440icd out of Il. with the single lever steering I slept on it to long but really didn't need another one.

Howard,
I missed it by a day, but it went to someone I know who will put it back together correctly if at all possible.

There certanly can't be very many of them out there my wife told me to go ahead and buy it but I was so busy I didn't get back to him in time. It looked like it was in pretty decent shape according to the pictures.

There were a little over 1200 built I think, but most of them were converted back to lever steer due to problems keeping them adjusted and functioning.
Just got an e-mail from the new owner, and he says the crawler is quite a bit rougher than it looked mechanically. Sounds like he has to do a lot of other mechanical work to make it sound, then start on the pilot touch.
