I got some short wood 8 x 16 blocks from my next-door neighbor that is a heavy equipment operator. I'm also a retired union millwright who knows better, but thank you for the warning. Also, always put wood between metal-to-metal surfaces to keep from slipping (learned that the hard way when I almost had my truck slip off my drive-on hoist, metal chassis on metal hoist lift point). Perhaps others reading this thread will learn something that might save them from harm or death! -Tom
