1949 MC crawler

Post by das9789 » Sun Dec 02, 2007 3:09 pm

I have a question about my MC crawler. Should the right brake pedal and the left clutch pedal operate independantly? I have replaced the left side steering clutches and in the attempt to adjust the throwout bearing I noticed that the pedals move together. Also does anyone know where I can buy a left side pedal? The one I have is cracked where the shaft goes through. Thanks Dave

THe clutch shaft is basically a tube that the brake shaft rides inside of. So it is possable that the clutch shaft and brake shaft are seized to eachother. Probably will just have to remove the both of them and try to seperate them.

Yes they should move independantly, they are just stuck together. I might have a pedal, I can check if you want.
