Incorrect track adjustment wears the undercarriage quickly

Post by davispalm » Fri May 22, 2026 1:55 am

I never realized how much track tension can affect undercarriage wear.
A lot of older crawlers end up with serious wear simply because the tracks were too tight or the rollers were uneven for too long. Reading the technical threads on really shows how valuable real-world experience is.

Hi,

Here you go:

https://www.tpaktopc.net/files/undrcarguide.pdf

It is a Dresser document. Applies to pretty much everything out there. Adjustment details for specific machines are in the various service manuals.
