John deere crawler 2010 1970 won't move please help me !
I was working with my crawler and then it stop moving forward or backward but the shovel work perfectly. Can someone please help me I don't know what's the problem... thank you

Good afternoon and welcome to the board-
First of all if you have a 2010 it is not a 1970 model. 2010s were made from approx. 1962 through 1965.
The problem is likely the HLR transmission, assuming you have one. If so there will be a shift lever between your legs on the floor that says "H-L-N-R". Do you have that? If so there could be any number of problems with it but first you would check fluid level in the dipstick also on the floor. If you don't have a HLR, then we will have to respond separately. I am not positive that a constant mesh transmission (the other available transmission on a 2010) was available with a loader model.
FYI, the loader hydraulics are ran off a separate pump and reservoir so are independent of the HLR.

(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment
I would check the following first:
1) Fluid level (on the marks or not) when parked level?
2) Fluid contamination- is it clean Hygard/303 or does it have water contamination (milky) or other contamination (i.e. wrong fluid added) or a burnt smell?
3) Has the HLR filter been changed recently, or ever?
If all of those checks come up OK, then you are going to need to check HLR pressures with a test gauge- you can either search older posts for the procedure, or preferably follow the procedure in the service manual.
HLRs are subject to damage easily if run too low on fluid or if they overheat- does your transmission temp gauge work?

Re: John deere crawler 2010 1970 won't move please help me !
Hello to all,
Im writing here as its a similar problem to the original post.
I have a 1964 John Deere 2010c with HLR transmission.
I was working with my Crawler and suddenly I couldnt move, its like Im stuck in neutral. Moving the arm to H-L-R doesnt work.
I noticed I was leaking transmission oil, and the transmission oil level was very low. Below is what I did so far :
1) Added transmission/hydraulic oil (respecting J20C requirement) - no improvement
2) Removed bottom plate. Drained the transmission oil (was milky), changed the HLR filter for a new JD AT15282, put brand new transmission/hydraulic oil (respecting J20C requirement) , repaired the hose that was leaking - no improvement
3) Checked HLR pressure , which come to around 160psi at low idle and about 200psi when 75% throttle
4) I tried to tow the crawler with another tractor : the crawler on TOW position comes but with speed engaged (H or L or R) I couldnt tow much - no improvement.
I'm still stuck and I was wondering if you have any recommendation before I do something else.
I'm afraid I damaged the Synchronizer clutch, which I'm not sure what should I do further. Would draining the oil again and try to see from the access door help ?
Any idea?
