Hi,

Champion plug number is H-10.

I use Autolite 216 plugs myself.

Here is the info from the parts catalog. Your local parts store should be able to cross the numbers to the brand you prefer. I use NGK brand for the most part now.

I received the Champion H10C

The Key Difference: A Copper Core for Enhanced Performance
The primary distinction between the Champion H10 and H10C spark plugs lies in the material of their center electrode. The H10C features a copper core, a design enhancement over the older H10 model, which significantly improves the spark plug's performance and durability.

The "C" in H10C specifically denotes "Copper Plus," Champion's designation for plugs with this copper-cored center electrode. This innovation offers several advantages:

Improved Heat Control: Copper is an excellent conductor of heat. The copper core in the H10C allows for more efficient heat dissipation from the firing tip, preventing overheating and extending the life of the spark plug. This wider heat range makes the H10C more adaptable to varying engine loads and conditions.

Enhanced Conductivity: The copper core provides a path of lower resistance for the electrical current, resulting in a stronger and more consistent spark. This can lead to more complete fuel combustion, improved starting, and smoother idling.

Increased Durability: Better heat management reduces the risk of pre-ignition and fouling, contributing to a longer service life for the spark plug.

Essentially, the H10C is the modern, improved replacement for the now largely obsolete H10. While both spark plugs share the same physical dimensions—including thread size (14mm), reach (7/16 inch), and hex size (13/16 inch)—making them interchangeable in most applications, the H10C offers superior performance and reliability due to its copper core technology.

For those undertaking period-correct restorations of vintage vehicles, there may be minor cosmetic differences, such as the number of insulator ribs or the color of the metal shell. However, for practical use in vehicles and small engines that specify an H10, the H10C is the recommended and readily available successor.
