What do these 2 handles on each side on the upper radiator support do? Other than get in the way of taking on & off the aftermarket grill guard? I would have removed them, but they seem to be quite rusted in there, even after removing the set screw things on the side.

It was quite annoying to have to disassemble the whole front of the machine to replace a blown hydraulic hose coming off the pump. I just finished resealing the cylinders & replacing all the hoses between the valves & cylinders. So of course one of the 3 hoses I didn't replace blew while plowing snow the other week.
As I'm only using it as a backup machine for plowing snow & playing forklift when my new HST tractor isn't around I'm tempted to leave the grill guard off. Show off the original JD grill & less effort to reinstall. Any thoughts?

Found a wet spot with a hint of green at the bottom of the radiator when I was in there as well. Coolant is only 2" down, so not to bad, but not good. The leaky valve cover gasket I found is less concerning. At least all the hydraulics are back together & aren't leaking anymore.

Those look like the light arms that hold the headlights in place

Headlight brackets, can't use them on loaders, take them off.
