Track Shoes
First time posting on any forum. I have a 1964 JD 2010C. Track tension adjusting cylinder broke and track came off on the engine side of the idler bending one of the track shoes. Shoe measures 13” x 6”. Single grouser, no openings except the 4 bolt holes. Would post pictures but haven’t figured out how yet. Looking for a replacement. Any help in finding a replacement would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Track Shoes
Could a machine shop straiten it? Local cat shop has a 40 Ton press. Big machine shop might do it.

Re: Track Shoes
As it happens I work in a machine shop. I believe the shoes are hardened steel. Most hardened steels don’t like to be bent and definitely don’t like to be rebent. Most likely will break off. I will know for sure when I return to work Monday morning.
Re: Track Shoes
Give Lavoy a call, he might have some.
Re: Track Shoes
Pads straighten easily on a press, done more than I can remember.
I might have a couple on hand.

Re: Track Shoes
Is it necessary to heat them or just start pressing?
Re: Track Shoes
Just press them.
