420, new tracks

Post by Bret4207 » Mon Mar 07, 2016 9:37 am

Ran across this. Thoughts? I don't know if a 350B is the same as a 1010 but I think a 420 is.

They are selling 350 tracks, not a direct fit for anything but a 350. To put them on any other crawler you will need to re-rim the sprockets with 350 rims and possibly shorten the tracks as they should come in 36 link configuration.
Just another example of somewhat false advertising on Ebay. Notice they say "verify part number before ordering". The part number listed means nothing to most people. If I'm reading it correctly, looks like 33 link rails to me which fits nothing Deere.
Not a bad price if you know what needs to be done to make them work on your crawler, but very misleading add. Other problem is freight quote. For me it shows $195 for one rails, or $225 for assembled rail group?!?!?! $30 more for triple the weight?!?!?

Hi,

The ad clearly states Discount Crawler Tracks. So, that means to Discount them as a source for said Crawler Tracks! :P

They aren't terribly far from me and I need rails. Should have known it was too good to be true.

Hi,

You can be the first to go see those folks and see if they really do have track sets with the 420 dimensions. The pics in their eBay ads are all wrong, but they do say 'for reference only'. The reference being they are tracks and not wheels, at least.

Their JD P/N for the 420 makes little sense, but it may be they actually do measure up, link wise, and then all you need it the correct count for your machine.
