I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one but thought I'd throw it out to the group. I just acquired a 1010 Gas Crawler Ag version. The only significant problem it has is the left steering clutch is stuck. In troubleshooting the problem, I found that the steering housing had gotten water into it and the drain hole in the bottom was plugged. Cleared the drain hole and drained the water and that part is good.
I can see that the throwout bearing is moving properly as the handle is pulled but the it appears that the fingers of the pressure plate are already pulled all the way in.
My guess would be that the slip disks are all rusted, the fiber disks all swelled, or both and the only resolution is to teardown and rebuild the steering clutch (long term goal in any case)

. Just thought I'd throw it out for other ideas or confirmation. Thanks.

Bill,
Your assumptions are correct, get the wrenches out.
Congrats on a good find, there were less than 400 total 1010 ag crawlers built. About 1/3, 2/3 as far as fuel type, but don't remember which way right now.

It was a really lucky find. It has been painted yellow over the green but is really complete, running, and overall good condition. I'm thinking there was about 400 of the gas version and 200 diesel.
I'll drop you a note off group on parts to get this straightened out. I haven't planned it out yet but it looks like the added complication in the Ag version case is the need to pull some the 3-point hitch frame off to get at the final drive case.
Should be fun.
