Yes, I have heard of them. They were built in Germany I believe, pretty much the same as any other 440, except they have the 3 cylinder Perkins. I sent parts to a customer in Austrailia a few years ago for one. Also had a customer in Austrailia send me a manual for one a few years ago, neat to look at.

Thanks for the reply Lavoy its good to hear that parts are the same and avaliable as this crawler is getting stripped and I'm pretty much sure the steering clutches will need doing pins and bushes will need replaceing I'm sure we will be talking later .

If you need any certain part numbers looked up I have a parts manual. The numbers might work at your dealerships. The numbers that are lanz esclusive begin with r in my parts book.
Good Luck

Somehow, some way, I need to get ahold of one of these. I had found one in France, but it was a wreck, and I was warned not to import out of France anyway, oh well.

Thanks for the offer Chad I'm sure your parts manual will come in handy as the manual I've got here is in German and I'm not that good with german.

Just dragging up this old thread...

Ive got a 440 lanz as well... also in Australia. Just finished rebuilding the steering clutches and its runs well. a little tired but still does what i want.

Lavoy did you ever get hold of one?

Aussie440 did you finish rebuilding yours?

Does anyone know if the engine parts are readily available for this... being a perkins i guess they would be.

Dave

Hi my neigbour has one. 3 cylinder Perkins made in Germany. It is running and he has a 1010 for interchangable parts of which ther are many. Woodford QLD. He'd like to make contact with others who own one.

About the only parts that interchange from the 1010 would be some undercarriage. The 440 Lanz's are just a 440 with a Perkins instead of a Detroit.
I will probably have one coming in in a year or so for restoration. It was brought in from Germany a couple years ago.
