Aftermarket gauges

Post by BKahler » Mon Feb 13, 2006 8:49 pm

Between my case backhoe and my 440 crawler I'm faced with replacing the amp gauges, oil pressure gauges and water temp gauges. Looking at the replacement ones that were on each of the machines its pretty obvious that they aren't really water tight. Both machines unfortunately have to sit outside and here in Arkansas it isn't a matter of when it will rain is more a matter of how much it will rain :x

I would imagine the mechanical gauges like oil pressure and water temperature would hold up a lot better than an amp gauge. Other than buying factory gauges does anyone know of any reasonably priced alternatives?

Just trying to save money where I can so I can spend the Deere related big bucks with Lavoy......

Thanks,

Brad

Brad,
I can get some generic gauges, amp is the easiiest, and they are cheap. Temp and oil may be more hit or miss depending on style or lead length. I can also get gauges with the brand on them for a little more, but no where near what factory gauges would cost.
