2010 crawler tans oil

What do you use for tranmission oil just replaced the final drive now going to replace trans oil not sure what to use

hi jim, well for the 440's ,the book says SAE 80 multi-purpose
440icd/602/8a,,440icd/831/ripper,,440icd/831/3pt.,misc. 440 parts, i have 5 of these now, but i can stop anytime :cry:

Hi Jim-

I believe (according to the original operator's manual), the 2010s (H-L-R transmission) use JD 303 hydraulic oil. However I believe the consensus from everyone on the board here is to use Hy-Gard from JD rather than universal tractor transmission oil meeeting JD 303 specifications.

Universal tractor transmission oil meeeting JD 303 specifications could be used for the loader (or attachment) hydraulic system- they are isolated and seperate systems from the transmission.
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment
