The "chains" on a 2010 are the same as a 1010 if your machine is serial number less than 42,000 I believe. After that serial number, the pins and bushings were enlarged so the links are different as well.

One way to tell is to measure the pin/bushing diameter; you can also look at the sprocket part number embossed on the sprocket to get an idea (the 2010 sprockets also changed at that serial number with the rails and pins/bushings).

One thing to note is that while the 1010 and early 2010 rails and pins/bushings are the same, the 1010 had less links so you would need to shorten if you take 1010 tracks for an early 2010.

I don't have the specifics for all of this, but you can search for other posts about pins and bushings and you will find our other discussions with the specific measurements and parts numbers.

thanks for the info...I will take some measurements and see what happens from there. I was able to get one final drive rebuilt and installed yesterday. I also got the track frames loosen up and adjusted properly, the track adjuster is free, so the next thing will be a new or at least better set of tracks. Of course, I still need to repeat procedure for the left side of the machine.

Hey CAT-

I was able to find one of the discussions we have had about 2010 tracks. It has the measurements you need for pins/bushings and the number of links. 42,000 is the serial number break between the smaller and larger pins/bushings.

Hope this helps-

thanks for the info. I have a line on a set of tracks from a 2010, but not sure about the serial number of the tractor. I will have to make a trip and check things out to see if they will work. The chains on my 1010 are absolute junk. The pads seem to have a lot of life left in them yet. They must have been changed at some point because none of the pads have the correct nuts and bolts in them. I was out working on the tractor today and have the right side done and ready for track to go back on. Then it will be onto repeat procedure for the left side.

thanks
