After putting the track back on we needed to take it for a test drive.

It been a little quiet here for a few days. Some 2-53 music.

I used 3 different types of penetrating oil, some cussing, a lot of other ideas and got mine freed up.

The 2-53 from a 440 has around 30% more horse power than a gas 40 engine. Its even hard on the upgraded 440 parts.

Is your 40 engine block cracked from freezing. If it is that can sometimes be repaired. “Stitching, Brazing and epoxy have all worked for me.

The Deere shed

Broken down crawlers have a way of finding friends.

I have seen tracks with rebar welded on them. They seemed to work better than if they didn’t have any.
Warpage shouldn’t be a problem.

I got this 440 in June of 2022. Nice it was the simple fix. I’ve done 2 sets of steering clutches in the last 9 months. About to do an engine clutch. Fun fun.

Ya looks like only the weld nuts in that size.
