As it happens I work in a machine shop. I believe the shoes are hardened steel. Most hardened steels don’t like to be bent and definitely don’t like to be rebent. Most likely will break off. I will know for sure when I return to work Monday morning.

Track Shoes
First time posting on any forum. I have a 1964 JD 2010C. Track tension adjusting cylinder broke and track came off on the engine side of the idler bending one of the track shoes. Shoe measures 13” x 6”. Single grouser, no openings except the 4 bolt holes. Would post pictures but haven’t figured out ...
