Re: Radiator housing

I'm not qualified to offer any guidance on the issue for the gap and mis-fitting you are experiencing but can offer some advice in using the Messageboard. The Lavoy's Little Shaop O' Deeres is where posts are put when offering items for sale I believe. When seeking advice for operation, repair or ma...

From what I have read in postings here, the water pump is unique to the crawler.

Re: 1010 gas crawler electrical question

I cant say I actually know why it was included but I suspect it is associated with switching of the power for circuitry which has a coil involved. The diode is often used to shunt “ringing” of a circuit when the power is turned off in electronics. The collapse of the magnetic field will induce high ...

When I read the post this morning the closest I had read about such was the spin on oil filter conversion.

Re: JD450C 1975 New Starter Motor Needed

Even before going through the electrical connections and cable wire inspections, you could use a volt meter to see what the voltage drop is at the starter when under load. If most off the voltage isn't sitting at the starter when cranking, it's time to look for a hot spot somewhere back towards the ...

Re: Any farm tractor guys on here ? Need help

This is what the posting on the 1010 face book group had in answer to the question about hoses: on the top I used a 14 inch long flexible hose from NAPA. On the bottom I shortened the hose from the water pump to the elbow to bring it up to the radiator flange. The lower radiator flange was 1 3/4 so ...

Re: Any farm tractor guys on here ? Need help

The YM2200 is a gray market machine. I went looking for documentation on it and could not find anything in English.

Re: Any farm tractor guys on here ? Need help

YUP, your right. I thought it was going forward toward the engine. I didn't notice the gear numbers were upside down. It would be for adjusting how quickly the lift arms drop. I had quite a time getting the one on my Jimna mfg tractor unfrozen. The box blade took forever to go down.

With the handle having a twist action and the placement of it, I'd guess it is for decompression control.

Re: Fly wheel questions

I don't know the machine. But, I'd check the manual to see if there were shims used for adjusting the tooth mesh of the starter drive with the ring gear. If it were too tight the pinion wouldn't be able to mesh with the ring gear and just grind on the face of the of the teeth. With Chevys you could ...
