Yes the engine runs fine it seems to fire right up but even when I go to lift the bucket under load it seems to kill it as well, that's why I do t think it could be a brake

Well I cleaned the carb completely and that didn't do a thing, it does still go straight and turn without to much hesitation it's just that the engine losses all power. A friend of mine said he thought it might be the idler is stuck but I'm pretty new with this old girl so that's where I'm stuck
