Hey Lavoy,
Turns out my radiator core was bad. Had it recored and I put a 6 blade fan on it while I was at it. We had some warm weather up here, so I tested it out. Ran at right about 190 under load all day. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the reply Lavoy. Shortly after I purchased the 440 ic, It was over heating. I found the water pump was leaking and was shot. I cleaned and flushed the radiator while I replaced the water pump and thermostat. I thought this would have solved the problem, but it still ran hot (not as hot, b...

Hello Folks, I am new here and would like to say thanks for having me. I have a 1959 440 ic. It seems to run hot on hot days when she's pushing medium weight around (logs,brush..). She runs at 190 F now on the cold days of winter now. After it has set a few days, I do smell a bit of anti-freeze when...
