I've got the engine out of the 350...it was the isolator

...and you nailed it Lavoy; 2 springs had come off and a third keeper cracked at the isolator. A couple of questions now, Am I assuming this happened due to fatigue? Is there anything I can check or do to keep this from happening again? I will be sure to Loctite the studs as someone suggested earlie...

Safe to Tow?

All right, now that it seems that I've got a problem with the isolator, should I have any concerns about towing this machine down off the hill to the garage. Mainly worried about the broken spring(s) jamming and causing damage. Tranny is in nuetral and reverser is positioned there too.

Thanks for your help-my parts book inexplicably does not show the isolator at all so I went to the John Deere website and was able to get a look at it there. I do believe that it may just be the culprit.

Howdy, I am a new owner of a 350 crawler loader, my first diesel, a 1966. I'm fixing to change the oil before I do anything else and my question (the first of many no doubt) is what weight oil do you folks recommend for this tractor?
