I need to know the recomended oil to replace the reverser oil in a 440 ICD, can someone help? Thanks Sam

Lavoy, Got the shaft in the mail Thursday but haven't had time to put it in. I hope to get it in soon! Did you get the dozer cleaned up from the rollover in the mud? I hope it wasn't as bad as it sounded! have you posted any pictures? Thanks Sam

Thanks Lavoy, yes it is the clutch shaft to the reverser. The shaft is aprox. 20 1/2 inches long, 1 3/8 inch diam. with 10 splines, and the reverser end is aprox. 1 3/16 inches with 16 splines. Please let me know if you have one available and the price including shipping. Sam

Broken clutch shaft causing the problem! I just worked the broken part out with a magnet and long screwdriver with magnet in shaft hole and screwdriver in reverser [side plate off] working the broken part of the shaft and holding pressure with magnet. If I spin engine I can see clutch and pressure plate and shaft turning, but nothing turns in the reverser or the transmission. If I turn pto shaft it spins the reverser. Had good weather, time, and help over the weekend to check some of the things that were recomended from the forum members. The clutch is turning, shaft in reverser is turning. Thanks for your reply. Got service manual in mail today, should help a bunch. It says 25- 35 lbs. Will study th book tonight and hope to check this out tomorrow! Expecting bad cold weather Sun. thru next week. May not get much done if it's cold and wet! Hope to learn more tomorrow. Thanks again.
